"I Saloni" directly from Milan

Today I received from my niece Valentina and her partner Davide, both architects in Milan, an e-mail about the grand event of the "International Furniture Fair".
"Ci siamo...oggi ha inizio la settimana piĆ¹ glamour, festosa, creativa, cosmopolita, frizzante e gioiosa di Milano!!"
"Here we are...today starts the most glamorous, festive, creative, cosmopolitan, sparkling and joyous week in Milano!!" they said.
The duo will run from work to any event they can possibly see and being insiders they will have the most incredible experience, as any year in the past.   I will report their impressions about the Salone and how the crisis has impacted (or not) the world of Interior Design.

All the above is not the "Salone" but only a small part of the "Fuori Salone" meaning events collateral to the big International Furniture Fair and the Design Week.

It sounds like a wonderful exposition. I wish I could be in Milan to run from event to event with Valentina and Davide. Please give them my regards.
PatriciaPS Thanks for linking to my post on Sunday in Milan. That is when I first met Valentina and Davide and they so graciously took me to dine at Dolce and Gabbana's Gold Restaurant. Ahh such wonderful memories.

Cara Albarosa,

How convenient. I wish I had a couple of reporters/blood hounds/spotters working day-in, day-out in Milan. Look forward to chronicles. Bacione, Ingrid in Umbria

Those vases are something else! At least we can be there via blog even though it would be so great to be there in person!!
