A very famous image
Of a very famous designer
Taken by a very famous photographer.
Hints: she was born in Florence, she studied Interior design in Rome, she moved to New York where she became famous creating objects of desire for a famous luxury brand with a famous color packaging.
Who is she? Come on... I told you that she is very famous!
Nice photo
ReplyDeletebut who is she?
I have no idea who she is, but I wish I had her body!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe only name I can think of is Coco Chanel, but she's French so this obviously isn't her.
I hope you'll give us the answer soon!!
Kelly
My first instinct is to say Diane Von Furstenburg--but I do not think that she was born in Italy?? And do not think that she worked at Tiffany's (HELP???) Those are some legs.
ReplyDeleteIs it Muriel Brandolini?
ReplyDeleteElas Perretti? Diane Von Furstenberg?
ReplyDeleteIs it Elsa Peretti!
ReplyDeleteO.K. we figured out the photographer is Helmut Newton! This was fun, thanks for a design scavenger hunt!
ReplyDeleteLiz and daughter Devon!
Roberto Cavalli in drag?
ReplyDeleteDear readers, I don't want to be mean but even if I have received a few right answers I will publish them only in a few days, in the MEANtime keep guessing!
ReplyDeleteElsa Perretti?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Elsa Peretti
ReplyDeleteElsa Peretti
ReplyDeleteElsa Peretti photographed by Helmut Newton.
ReplyDeleteIt's Elsa Peretti photographed by Helmut Newton.
ReplyDeleteYou are cracking us up! You've brilliantly engaged the competitive followers, but its fun. Devon and I want to win this game! We were on fire for 30 minutes, and now we are dangling from your web!! We'll be back, and want to play again!
ReplyDeleteLiz and Devon
Anonymous...I am sure you are joking, since this is a gorgeous woman, the only thing Cavalli and this beauty may have in common is Florence (and their passion for design of course).
ReplyDeleteElsa Pretti Photographed by Irving Penn.
ReplyDeleteSorry, a correction to my earlier post. Not Irving Penn. Elsa Pretty photographed by Helmut Newton in 1975.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Schiaparelli?
ReplyDeleteBecause I just read the Little Augury blog, I have to guess again and say Marella Agnelli, who is featured in that blog today! I'm just connecting the dots .... The images are so similar -- tall, slender, black & white photography AND she represents Italian aristocracy.
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting little augury-how can anyone resist a contest? Elsa Peretti is the bunny and Helmut Newton is behind the lens.
ReplyDeletewhoever she is, she is absolutely stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteThe brilliant Elsa Peretti! One of the best images of the 70's.
ReplyDeleteCould this be - Elsa Peretti???
ReplyDeleteElsa Peretti!
